So much MaF work, baybee

Oofa doofa, what a night it’s been. After hosting a discussion on the two Jack Frost films of the late 90s, I dove into completing a film & tv news discussion roundtable for tomorrow. I already assembled the interface for the Chris Columbus director filmography ranking, which one of the MaF ECs is hosting, which is happening right before my news discussion.

Also making progress on my holiday movie trivia event taking place next weekend! Got some graphics in play, and started formatting the questions in the JS format I use for the interface. I’m also planning to clip out ~1m audio clips from semi-random points in holiday movies, for people to have to guess the title of based on context clues, and sprinkle them throughout the event.

I haven’t had much time to work on Clappy’s code, but I’m currently in the process of reworking Clappy’s database schema in preparation for the ultimate migration to the next release version. We’re breaking the table columns into a logical structure that tracks with the disparate features available to non-MaF servers, so that’s my primary focus right now, alongside my continuing work on automated Roulette interoperability with the host’s web interface. I’m starting to think keepalive/update API pings at a regular interval might be more reasonable than websockets, for the web interface.

Lots of stuff. Woof.
